I would keep journals of my daily activities when I was at school. My purpose for this was to map out my life and look back one day and remember more clearly where I came from.
The written word can offer a wisp of the writers’ soul; it can cause civil war and revolution, or bring peace and understanding to societies and cultures. I came to understand that the written word has power and influence unlike any other magic.
My further education brought me to the exploration of Greek Mythology and The Aztecs, I was exposed to films, stories, screenplays and writers that have had an immense influence on the subject matter I chose to write about. The state of the world we live in, rooms with no windows, stories of homeless beggars with big hearts, and poetry about big wave surfing legends, to name but a few.
